But what exactly is mentoring and why should we think about utilizing our time and talents in this way to give back to our youth? Join us for a conversation with Al Demming, Executive Director of The Leadership Initiative, as he discusses his journey into mentorship and the role mentors play in creating opportunities for youth in the community.
Meet Al Demming:

Albert G. Demming, a native of New Jersey, is a 25 year resident of Illinois; is married and has three (3) daughters. Mr. Demming demonstrates a passion for serving his community, working with youth and young adults, and commits his time and talent toward their development and growth. He imparts knowledge and advice through various mentoring, teaching, coaching, and motivating initiatives throughout Illinois School Districts and civic organizations. Enhancing the academic, social, and professional character of those he mentors is Mr. Demming’s unending goal. His advice to youth is “Aim High and Dare to Dream…”
